Assignment - JAT was retained to assist with
the design, coordination and implementation of a Lawson HR, Payroll and
Benefits software strategy that would allow the many Cendant companies
(such as PHH and HFS) to operate effectively under one system. Cendant
Corporation is the world's premier provider of consumer and business services
with franchise partners such as Avis®, Ramada®, and Century 21®.
Challenge - The challenges for the JAT team
were many:
The use of different payroll systems and benefits
programs in the Cendant companies
The lack of a formal HR system
Business procedures were different or non-existent
A lack of critical HR information flow between
the corporate office and the individual companies
Find a solution to all the above during a company
merger that significantly expanded the scope of the original assignment
Solution - Due to their broad experience, the
JAT implementation team knew it was critical to gather in-depth information
regarding the infrastructure of the Cendant organization before a successful
solution could be recommended. The JAT team launched an extensive needs
assessment to complete a plan which the Cendant corporate office used
to capture critical HR, Payroll and Benefits information from a global
perspective.
